Installation

Install FCHub Multi-Currency in about two minutes. Download, upload, activate — the usual WordPress ritual.

Before You Start

You need three things:

  • WordPress 6.7 or newer
  • PHP 8.3 or newer (ask your host if unsure — they love that question)
  • FluentCart installed and activated

That's it. If FluentCart isn't active when you activate Multi-Currency, the plugin will politely tell you and wait. No errors, no drama, just a quiet admin notice.

Optional Extras

FluentCRM and FluentCommunity aren't required, but if you have them installed, Multi-Currency will automatically sync currency preferences to contacts and community profiles. Zero extra setup.

Install the Plugin

Two minutes, tops. Pick whichever method you prefer:

The easy way. No FTP clients, no file managers, no existential dread.

Download the ZIP

Grab the latest fchub-multi-currency.zip from the releases page.

Upload it

In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin. Choose the ZIP file, click Install Now.

Activate

Click Activate Plugin. Done. The plugin sets itself up automatically — you'll see "Multi-Currency" appear in your FluentCart settings within seconds.

Check That It's Working

After activation, head to FluentCart → Settings → Multi-Currency. You should see the settings panel with six tabs. If you see it, everything's working.

Want a quick health check? Click the Diagnostics tab — it shows your PHP version, plugin version, and whether all the pieces are connected properly.

What's Next

The plugin ships with sensible defaults, but it won't do much until you tell it which currencies to show. Head to Configuration and:

  1. Set your base currency (if it's not USD)
  2. Add the currencies your customers care about
  3. Pick an exchange rate provider (or use the free ECB option)
  4. Add the Currency Switcher block to your layout, or drop the [fchub_currency_switcher] shortcode on classic/theme areas

Five minutes of setup, and your store speaks every currency that matters.

Removing the Plugin

Deactivating pauses everything but keeps your data safe. Reactivate any time — your currencies, rates, and customer preferences are all still there.

Deleting the plugin? By default, your data stays put even after deletion. If you want a clean break, flip the "Remove all data on uninstall" toggle in settings before you delete. That wipes everything — rate history, settings, saved preferences, the lot.

Data Removal Is Opt-In

We don't delete your data unless you explicitly ask for it. Because surprises are for birthdays, not plugin management.
